“The Trustees assess whether the use of going concern is appropriate i.e., whether there are any material uncertainties related to events or conditions that may cast significant doubt on the ability of the charity to continue as a going concern. The Trustees make this assessment in respect of a period of one year from the date of approval of the financial statements. In making this assessment the Trustees, have considered the charitable group's revised forecasts and projections for income and expenditure, as well as long term cash flow. These continue to be regularly monitored by Directors and Trustees. Battersea holds significant reserves and has liquid assets in the form of investments which are readily available to convert into cash. After making enquiries, the Trustees have concluded that there is a reasonable expectation that the charitable group has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The charitable group therefore continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing its financial statements.”
